Dr. Sonal Dixit is currently serving as Scientist 'C' at NORMI Research Foundation, India, and contributes significantly to research and development in environment. Her expertise spans various domains including environmental management, pollution control, and sustainable development. Previously, she held a crucial role as an Environmental Manager at J.M. EnviroNet Pvt. Ltd., a prestigious NABET/QCI accredited environmental consultancy based in Gurgaon, India. In this capacity, she led projects focused on environmental impact assessment, compliance auditing, and environmental management systems, further solidifying her practical experience in the field. She has obtained her Doctorate in Environmental Science from B.B.A.U (Central University), Lucknow, and was awarded the Dr. D.S. Kothari Post Doctoral Fellowship (UGC) for her postdoctoral research. She has demonstrated academic excellence by qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET) by UGC in June 2012 and ICAR in December 2018 in Environmental Science.

Her academic career includes roles as an Assistant Professor, where she imparted knowledge and mentored students pursuing M.Tech, B.Tech at B.B.A. University (Central), Lucknow, and M.Sc. at the University of Lucknow, Lucknow. Her research contributions are substantial, with numerous publications in reputed Scopus indexed journals. Her research focuses on addressing contemporary environmental challenges, such as pollution mitigation, sustainable resource management, and environmental policy formulation. Throughout her 11 years of professional experience, she has exemplified a dedication to advancing environmental science through rigorous research, effective teaching, and practical application in environmental consultancy.
