Dr. Tapasya Srivastava

Dr. Tapasya Srivastava is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of Delhi South Campus. She holds a Ph.D. from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and an MSc in Biochemistry from Hamdard University. Dr. Srivastava's research focuses on various areas within cancer biology, including the biology of cancer cells in hypoxic tumor microenvironments, cancer genetics and risk markers, cancer therapeutics, and DNA methylation and epigenetic regulation in cancer cells.
Dr. Srivastava has extensive experience in subjects such as regulation of gene expression and epigenetic regulation in various model organisms, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, cancer biology and genetics, molecular biology (including replication, repair, and recombination), and research methodology. Her expertise is recognized through her election as a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
She has been honored for her contributions to science with the SERB Women’s Excellence in Science Research Award in 2013 and the INSA Young Scientist Medal Award in Medical Sciences in 2010. Dr. Srivastava has published extensively in refereed and peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to the field of medical sciences.
